In general white Americans of all classes are privileged in relation to black people. They began a tradition of bringing much needed attention to the struggle of Africans and its correlation to the oppression of African Americans and the Civil Rights movement in the United States.
Is it a so-called democratic process which is supposedly based upon representation?
So that not gold, nor silver, nor the other products of the earth alone, but men also are gathered from thence to bring those regions, which foreigners have unjustly called ferocious, to a higher state of virtue and cultivation.

The Spanish settlement was named San Miguel de Guadalupe ; its inhabitants included enslaved Africans. When the Cherokee Nation drafted its constitution inenrollment was limited to descendents of people listed on the Dawes "Cherokee By Blood" rolls.
The fight to free African countries was seen by black activists around the world as the starting point to free black people everywhere. So the death penalty is also a class issue - there are no rich people on death row.
It was labor which the plantation owners needed if they were to cultivate and expand their properties. It is no easy task to purge the mind of the conditioning to which it was and is subject.

In a social justice context, oppression is what happens when individuals or groups of people are discriminated against or otherwise treated unjustly, whether by the government, private organizations, individuals, or other groups. Black Indians are people of mixed African-American and Native American heritage, who have strong ties to Native American culture.
Many Indigenous peoples of the Eastern Woodlands, such as the Narragansett, Pequot, Wampanoag, Shinnecock, Choctaw, Muscogee Creek, and Cherokee, have a significant degree of African ancestry. Even though view on African-Americans have been slightly better since the first half of the century, there is a distinct outline of how the oppressors want to keep the oppressed destitute which has been undoubtedly shown since the United States' conception.
According to Iris Marion Young, there are five “faces” or types of oppression: violence, exploitation, marginalization, powerlessness, and cultural imperialism. Exploitation is the act of using people’s labors to produce profit while not.
The systematic oppression of black Americans is deeply embedded in the fabric of US society. In a nation made up of immigrants, blacks were the ones brought there forcibly and kept as slaves for years.Download
